Jim Lopez, serving as the Deputy City Manager for External Affairs, has just scored the title of the first-ever "Chamber’s Gesa Kirklander of the Year Award," courtesy of the Greater Kirkland Chamber of Commerce in partnership with Gesa Credit Union, a commendation described to celebrate individuals who've made their mark on the community of Kirkland through stand-out dedication and leadership, according to the City of Kirkland's release.
The selection, announced by Kirkland's very own cultural touchstone, Ryan James - synonymous with ryan james fine arts and acting Board President of the Chamber – responded to Lopez's contribution to the city, affirming, "Jim is an outstanding, passionate leader who has shown exemplary dedication to making lasting, positive impacts on Kirkland," reported by the City of Kirkland's official news hub. The Chamber plans to formally bestow this accolade at their annual luncheon slated for tomorrow, where civic-minded attendees will raise their glasses to Lopez's commitment.
With a public service trajectory that includes roles like Assistant City Manager and Director of Human Resources and Performance Management, Lopez has now anchored himself in promoting economic development, civic engagement, communications, alongside unyielding efforts in advancing diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging initiatives under the City of Kirkland's banner.
