A fatal incident unfolded in Osceola County when a 66-year-old Kissimmee woman was tragically killed after being hit by an SUV, as confirmed by the Florida Highway Patrol. The collision occurred around 6:30 p.m. yesterday on Kings Highway, just north of Henry Partin Road. Reports from ClickOrlando detailed the event whereby the woman entered the southbound lane and into the SUV's direct path.
The vehicle involved was a 2018 Chevy Suburban carrying two occupants from Kindred—a 46-year-old male driver and a 16-year-old female passenger, neither of whom were injured in the crash. Post the accident, the injured woman was rushed to the hospital but unfortunately pronounced dead. It was highlighted that both the driver and the teenager remained at the scene following the incident.
The Highway Patrol is investigating to understand better the factors contributing to this grim development on the roads of Osceola County. According to WFTV, authorities have released information indicating that the pedestrian unknowingly walked into the path of the oncoming vehicle.
