Las Cruces Public Libraries are stepping up their game with a new craft program that promises to blend creativity with community. On February 1, the Themed Painting program is slated to kick off at the Thomas Branigan Memorial Library, offering participants the chance to interpret and express the theme of love through their art, as detailed by Las Cruces Public Libraries. As announced, the session will run from 1-5 p.m. in the library's Craft Room.
Known not just for books, but now for brushes and colors, the library is located at 200 E. Picacho Ave and is conveniently accessible via Roadrunner Transit route 1. Scheduled every other month on the first Saturday, Themed Painting invites guests to delve into a variety of motifs. Painting Love in February is set to be followed by a Star Wars theme in April to gear up for a related art show on May the 4th. Come June, colors take the spotlight, aligning with the Summer Reading Program's theme "Color Our World".
Registration is open for this free event that welcomes all ages.
