Last night's tragic event on West Harmon Avenue, west of South Aldebaran Avenue, has been confirmed as the 10th traffic-related fatality within the Las Vegas police jurisdiction for the year 2025. According to a statement from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, a 30-year-old female driver was involved in a fatal single-vehicle collision at around 10:33 p.m. on Monday. The driver's identity remains withheld, pending notification of next of kin.

The preliminary investigation revealed a 2004 Dodge Dakota traveling eastbound mysteriously struck the south side curb, leading to the driver losing control. Having struck another curb, the vehicle continued its erratic path, eventually coming to rest after a severe impact that not only engaged a large wall but also a standalone light post. Found ejected from the vehicle onto the sidewalk, it was clear that the driver stood no chance for survival, as reported by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.

Evidence and witness statements gathered at the scene are being thoroughly examined by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department's Collision Investigation Section. Despite efforts by emergency medical services who arrived promptly at the location, the woman was pronounced deceased at the scene.
