
Las Vegas Metropolitan Police have made an arrest in connection to a deadly shooting that occurred last month. Donta Allen, 18, stands accused of the murder that left one woman dead and a man injured. On the fateful December day, police responded to a shooting report in the 3800 block of Soda Springs Drive. Upon their arrival at roughly 4:48 p.m., they discovered the casualties alongside a vehicle. According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police press release, the investigation led to Allen's arrest on Monday, where he was booked into the Clark County Detention Center on an open murder with a deadly weapon charge.
The incident involved the male and the female victim, who were inside their vehicle when ambushed by several assailants who quickly fled the scene. The male victim was rushed to a nearby hospital; sadly, however, the woman was pronounced dead on the spot. Police are yet to publically identify the victims, deferring details on the identification as well as the cause and manner of death to the Clark County Coroner’s Office. LVMPD Homicide detectives worked diligently to loosely connect the dots that led to Allen's apprehension.
