Lewisville High School's sophomore sensation, Alexa Udabor, has hit a home run in the local design community by crafting the official logo for the upcoming 2025 ColorPalooza: A Celebration of Spring festival. Unveiled with pomp at a recent City Council meeting, Udabor's emblem is a cheerful throwback, with a multihued, circular motif and a whimsical font that practically screams "spring is here, folks!" The young designer aimed to encapsulate the festival's spirit, combining color with a dash of nostalgia.
Although she wasn't enrolled in an art class, a heads-up from a friend was all it took for Udabor to throw her hat into the ring – and what do you know, she nailed it. She wanted to create a logo that was colorful and had a vintage, or retro, style with themes of art and vibrancy, Udabor told the City of Lewisville's press, and, come spring everyone driving through Lewisville will get a glimpse of her vision plastered on billboards and banners. The logo won’t just be towering above on billboards, but it'll also feature on all the event merchandise.
