The victim, whose name has not been released, was found by officers responding to a stabbing report with at least one stab wound to the chest and though details are still scant as the SAPD has yet to provide what led up to the fatal altercation, they did confirm the victim later died in hospital. A video posted to Citizen app, which CBS News Los Angeles referenced, documented the pronounced police response while the location was cordoned off for investigation.
NBC Los Angeles indicated the authorities are actively seeking witnesses and any surveillance footage that may aid in the ongoing investigation. The Santa Ana Police Department is urging anyone with information to come forward and contact the Santa Ana police as soon as essential clues could help piece together the circumstances that culminated in a public space turning into a crime scene.
