
Authorities are piecing together the events of last night's shooting in Revere, Massachusetts, that has left one man with serious injuries. At approximately 8:30 p.m., officers from the Revere Police Department were called to Floyd Street where the victim was discovered with gunshot wounds; he was promptly transported to Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston for treatment.
Currently, the condition of the victim remains unclear, with the Suffolk County District Attorney's Office indicating the injuries are not believed to be life-threatening despite initial reports of their serious nature. As this investigation unfolds, police have not made any arrests, and the motive behind the shooting is still under investigation according NBC10 Boston.
Residents of Revere's Floyd Street reported hearing between six to ten shots that night, which suggests a wild flurry of gunfire that startled the community; numerous evidence markers were seen at the scene as detectives combed through the evidence in their effort to ascertain what culminated in this violent episode, with neighbors recalling the distinct sound of at least six gunshots.
Further adding to the night's chaos, witnesses told WCVB they observed at least three individuals exiting an SUV shortly after the shots were fired which adds a perplexing layer to the narrative of this crime, however, no further details about the suspects or their vehicle have been released as of yet.
