Two teenagers in Marion County face serious accusations after being arrested in connection with the alleged rape of a juvenile female. According to First Coast News, the suspects, identified as Jordan Audit, 17, and Austin Littleton, 18, were charged with sexual battery involving physical force. Arrested last Tuesday, both teenagers allegedly raped the victim last Saturday under the threat of shooting her. The report details that the two had been in a preceding altercation that same night when the victim heard gunshots, following which Audit coerced her with claims of being armed.
The alleged incident unfolded after a party in Ocklawaha, where the victim was forcibly taken to Littleton's camper and raped, as described in an interview with the Marion County Sheriff’s Office conducted by Action News Jax. The victim managed to escape, but whilst she was driving away, Audit and Littleton purportedly pursued her and cut off her car, forcing her to stop. The intervention of her screams, upon their approach to the vehicle, is said to have prompted the assailants to withdraw.
During the investigation, digital and forensic evidence, alongside visible injuries to the suspects believed to be from the victim's resistance, corroborated the victim's account, according to FOX 35. This included a rape kit analysis and the Life360 phone app data, which helped the Lake County Sheriff's Office initially locate the approximate area of the party, eventually involving the Marion County Sheriff's Office.
While both teens have denied the allegations, Major Crimes Detective Joseph Miller's investigation led to their arrest after Audit was transported to the Department of Juvenile Justice and Littleton to the Marion County Jail, where he has been held without bond. Audit's case is notable for being a minor, reflected in FOX 35's editorial choice to withhold his name, despite the gravity of the crimes for which he stands accused.
