The Massachusetts Department of Public Health has announced $1.8 million in funding to improve reproductive health care. The money will support individuals seeking abortion services and help clinics enhance infrastructure and security through the Reproductive Health Access, Infrastructure, and Security Grants program, according to the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

Starting in December 2024 and continuing through 2026, "These grants will help ensure that cost is not a barrier for anyone to seek the care they need." They will support abortion funds, enhance safety and security, and improve the quality of care. Governor Maura Healey and Lieutenant Governor Kim Driscoll emphasized that "These grants are critical to preserving the ability of all individuals to make the health care decisions that are right for them and have access to the services they need when they need them," as stated by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

Massachusetts is investing $1.8 million to support organizations that provide abortion care, with a focus on racial justice and health equity. Health and Human Services Secretary Kate Walsh stated, "These grants are an important step in our efforts to sustain reproductive health care in Massachusetts and will enable people to receive informed care when and where they need it." Public Health Commissioner Robbie Goldstein added, "We must continue to lead the nation in safeguarding reproductive health care because the well-being and autonomy of our citizens are paramount." Grant recipients include the Abortion Rights Fund of Western Massachusetts and Brigham and Women’s Hospital, expanding access and reinforcing the state’s commitment to reproductive rights, as reported by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
