Mayor LaToya Cantrell, in partnership with the City of New Orleans Neighborhood Engagement Office, has announced the "Love Your City Cleanup" initiative. This citywide event aims to improve community spaces and beautify New Orleans, according to a recent release from the Mayor's Office.
The cleanup will take place over two days, starting on February 1. Efforts will focus on several districts: Hollygrove in District A, Central City in District B, Treme in District C Eastbank, the 7th Ward in District D, and Rosedale in District E. On February 2, cleanup will shift to District C Westbank, with a focus on Algiers.
Volunteers interested in participating are encouraged to sign up on the Love Your City website.
