The long arm of the law has reached across state boundaries as a suspect was brought back to Massachusetts to face criminal charges. Antonio Taylor, originally from Memphis, Tennessee, was returned by detectives from the Plymouth Police Department following an incident that took place in 2023. Taylor is accused of traveling to Plymouth in the company of a co-defendant to commit larceny from a person and larceny under $250 from an individual either over 60 or disabled.
Upon Taylor's capture and subsequent booking, the Plymouth Police Department stated, "The Plymouth Police Department takes crimes committed against our citizens seriously and our department works tirelessly to bring those who commit these crimes to justice." He is scheduled for arraignment at the Plymouth District Court following his transfer from Tennessee.
The charges Taylor faces include "Larceny From Person" and "Larceny Under $250 from +60/Disabled." The specifics of the crimes for which Taylor has been accused were not disclosed in the social media update provided by the police department.
The Plymouth Police Department acknowledged the support of Plymouth County District Attorney Timothy Cruz and his office's dedication to serving justice for the people of Plymouth. "The Plymouth Police Department would like to thank Plymouth County District Attorney Timothy Cruz and the entire Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office for their commitment to bring justice to the citizens of Plymouth," the department shared in their official statement.
As the proceedings roll forward, Antonio Taylor will face the legal ramifications of the charges in a Massachusetts courtroom.
