The Metropolitan Police Department is asking the community to help identify a suspect involved in an attempted robbery in Northwest DC.

According to the Metropolitan Police Department release, the incident, which occurred on the 2000 block of Vermont Avenue on Sunday, December 15, 2024, around 5:24 p.m., involved the suspect attempting to grab a victim’s cell phone but fleeing without success. 

The police have requested anyone with information to come forward and avoid direct confrontation. Witnesses or people with relevant information can contact the police at (202) 727-9099 or send anonymous tips via the Department's TEXT TIP LINE by texting 50411. A reward of up to $1,000 is offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspect.
