The Metropolitan Police Department is actively seeking information on four individuals involved in a recent robbery in the Southwest area. According to the MPD's press release, the incident occurred yesterday, just as the evening rush began to settle around 5:26 p.m. The suspects are said to have accosted the victim in the 400 block of L’Enfant Plaza.

Reports indicate that these individuals did not merely snatch valuables and disappear into the throng; they physically assaulted the victim and insinuated they were armed, before taking the victim's possessions. The suspects then fled, but not before their images were captured by surveillance cameras. These images have since been disseminated by authorities in an attempt to solicit the public's help in identifying the culprits, as detailed by the same press release.

MPD has made a plea to the community, asking that anyone with information that could lead to identification, or, with knowledge of the crime, come forward. Recognizing the gravity of such violent acts, the police department is offering a reward up to $10,000 for information that leads to an arrest and conviction in connection with the robbery. In their call to action, MPD has instructed potential informants to either call (202) 727-9099 or to send a text to the Department's TEXT TIP LINE at 50411.

While the investigation continues, the Metropolitan Police remind the public not to approach or take action if they recognize the suspects, as they are considered dangerous.
