
Authorities are on the lookout for two individuals linked to a recent armed carjacking on Georgia Avenue in Northwest Washington, D.C. The Metropolitan Police Department reported that the incident happened on January 23, 2025, around 12:14 a.m., prompting a swift response from Fourth District officers. The victim, who was assaulted by the assailants while sitting in his car, suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was promptly taken to a local hospital by D.C. Fire and EMS.
The suspects, whose images were caught on nearby surveillance cameras, are seen in photos and video released by the police department. In the footage, they can be seen fleeing the scene in the stolen vehicle. The location of the carjacking, the 5300 block of Georgia Avenue, Northwest, is now being scrutinized as part of the ongoing investigation.
In an effort to apprehend these individuals, MPD has issued a public appeal for assistance. They are offering up to a $10,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for this violent crime.
