According to a WISN report, Arner-Ortiz, who was rushed to the hospital and survived. He is now charged with multiple felonies, including second-degree sexual assault of a child under 16, abduction of a child, child enticement, the use of a computer to facilitate a child sex crime, and intentionally pointing a firearm at law enforcement officers during a separate November 7, 2024, incident. Arner-Ortiz preliminary hearing is scheduled for today.

As a standard procedure, the involved officer, a 35-year-old man with over 8 years of service in the force, has been placed on administrative duty pending further investigation, as mentioned in a report by WTMJ.
