After over a month of disruption caused by an assault on its technical systems, the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board (MPRB) has finally reconnected its phone lines. The board announced on Tuesday that all of its telephone numbers are operational, ending the need for the stopgap measures they had in place since November 20th.
The original lines at MPRB went silent following what was described as an attack on MPRB technology. While the specifics of the incident remained unspoken, the quick transition to temporary lines ensured that services continued with minimal interruption. According to a recent update from MPRB, the customary numbers are back in service, this includes Customer Service, Forestry, the Park Police, and all recreation centers.
With the restoration of the regular phone numbers, people are encouraged to reconnect with MPRB through the usual channels. The customer service line returns to 612-230-6400, tasks regarding urban forestry go back to 612-313-7710, and for Park Police inquiries, the public can dial 612-230-6550. It should be noted that the public should always call 911 in case of emergencies. For additional information, individuals can also visit the MPRB's official website for direct contact details for all recreation centers.
