
Authorities recently issued a plea for public assistance in the search for Kevin Grant, a 35-year-old Black male reported missing in DeSoto, Texas. According to a social media post from the DeSoto Police Department, Grant has a mental illness and a medical condition that requires attention. Last seen in the early morning hours, around 4:30 AM on the 100 block of Bailey Drive, he was wearing a gold/yellow shirt, blue jeans, and his black and white sneakers amidst the pressing cold weather that was set to worsen.
However, in a turn of events that relieved the community and his family, Mr. Grant was found safe. The DeSoto Police Department announced the positive outcome in a follow-up post, adding that he will be reunited with the family soon.
Mr. Grant's discovery shows the importance of community cooperation and quick action in cases involving individuals with special needs.
