The Metropolitan Police Department is calling for help from the community to track down an armed individual linked to a robbery in Southeast that left multiple people victimized. On a late afternoon this on Wednesday, an assailant, now sought by authorities, allegedly assaulted and robbed a group while brandishing a handgun in the vicinity of Minnesota Avenue's 3200 block, a public notice stated.
According to the official account by the MPD, the incident unfolded at about 4:58 p.m.; the suspect unexpectedly confronted the victims in the back of a building, threatening them with a gun, striking one of them before fleeing from the scene with stolen possessions in their fraught grasp, following the forceful altercation the authorities now seek any information that could lead to an arrest.
