Residents of New Tampa and the wider Hillsborough County can now look forward to an array of new and improved amenities at Branchton Park, located at 15504 Morris Bridge Rd., Thonotosassa, FL. Officials are slated to unveil the recent renovations in a ribbon-cutting ceremony that will take place tomorrow at 10 a.m.

The park, having been expanded to cover an impressive 43 acres, is poised to quickly become a hotspot for recreation lovers in the vicinity. The $10 million revamp is expected to not only serve the immediate 45,000 residents within a 10-minute drive but also to attract people from much further afield. Among the state-of-the-art features are a large playground, splash pad, restrooms and changing facilities, and six shelters designed to comfortably host community gatherings.

According to Hillsborough County's announcement, additional sporting facilities include pickleball courts and walking trails catered towards active lifestyles, while those keen on bringing their canine companions can make use of the new dog park. Creating an inclusive atmosphere, the park also boasts a playground accessible for children of all abilities.

Adding to the draw of the park are the public art installations scattered within, making it to potentially become more than just a space for physical activity but also one for cultural engagement. With work on some of the park's last features set to be completed in the upcoming weeks, residents can already take advantage of the ample lighting and parking lot improvements. The park's operational hours will be from sunrise to sunset, seven days a week, ensuring that it is accessible for early morning workouts or leisurely evening strolls.
