The New York Police Department is intensifying its efforts to apprehend suspects connected to a series of robberies targeting elderly women in Manhattan. The suspects, who have yet to be identified, are wanted for their involvement in two separate incidents that occurred last Monday and Tuesday in the vicinities of the NYPD's 17th and 19th Precincts, respectively.
According to the NYPD Crimestoppers’ Facebook post, the assailants forcibly removed property from a 71-year-old female victim and a 68-year-old female victim. The New York Police Department's appeal to the public conveys not just the urgency but also the severity of the crimes, as they offer a reward up to $3,500 for information leading to an arrest.
Members of the community are urged to contribute any information they may have regarding these incidents. Those with tips can reach out to the NYPD anonymously by calling 800-577-TIPS or by posting a tip on their website, as detailed in the public call to action issued by the department.
