The NYPD is seeking information on two separate robbery incidents that took place in Queens last month. The first incident, as reported by NYPD Crimestoppers on Facebook, occurred on December 17, 2024. An unidentified assailant attacked a victim standing on the southbound "7" train platform at the 82nd Street subway station and forcibly took a gold chain from the victim's neck.
In a similar appeal, the NYPD shared details of another robbery on December 8, 2024. According to a Facebook post by NYPD Crimestoppers, this earlier incident involved four unknown individuals who confronted three victims in front of 98-17 Roosevelt Ave. When the victims refused to surrender their property, they were assaulted, and one victim had their property stolen.
Both posts offer a reward of up to $3,500 for information leading to an arrest and ask that anyone with information call NYPD's Crimestoppers at 800-577-TIPS or submit tips anonymously through their website. There is a sense of urgency in the NYPD's request for public assistance as they work to track down these assailants and ensure the safety and security of the community.
