
The NYPD is on the hunt for an individual who is wanted for a violent assault that took place on the Manhattan subway earlier this month. According to a post on the NYPD Crimestoppers Facebook page, a victim was stabbed multiple times by an unknown assailant while aboard a southbound "1" train nearing the 110 Street station around 9:15 a.m. on January 1.
The post, which went live earlier today, includes a clear call for public assistance in apprehending the suspect. NYPD's 26th Precinct and Transit District 3 are leading the investigation, encouraging anyone with information to call 800-577-TIPS. The Crimestoppers program is offering a reward of up to $3,500 for tips that lead to an arrest, underlining the seriousness of the crime and the urgency of capturing the individual responsible.
