Oklahoma City residents will see a change in the weather next week. Sunny skies will give way to cloudy conditions, with light showers possible, according to the National Weather Service.

Currently, it is a few clouds over Oklahoma City, with temperatures sitting at a brisk 31°F and humidity levels high at 89%. Despite the chill, a north wind at 12 mph provides a brisk feel, with gusts making the wind chill drop to 22°F, putting a definite nip in the air, National Weather Service reports.

For today, National Weather Service forecasts sunny weather with the temperature climbing to a more comfortable high near 49°F. The calm north northeast winds are expected to swing east southeast in the afternoon. As the evening approaches, Oklahomans might encounter patchy drizzle after 5 am, under increasingly cloudy skies and lows around 38°F.

Saturday's forecast introduces patchy drizzle and fog, particularly between 10 am and 3 pm, with a slight chance of showers in the afternoon. The sky will stay mostly gray, and temperatures are expected to rise to 54°F. The south southeast wind will pick up, pushing between 10 to 15 mph, and may gust as high as 23 mph. By Saturday night, the chance of showers drops, but not the wind, which could gust as high as 26 mph before swinging west southwest post-midnight, as detailed by the National Weather Service.

On Sunday, partial sunshine returns and with it stronger winds from the north northwest at 17 to 22 mph, and gusts potentially peaking at 33 mph. The high is set to be near 43°F. These conditions are forecasted to usher in colder nights, with Sunday's low around 16°F paving the way for a sunny but chilly Monday with highs around 30°F and subsequent nights maintaining similar temperatures, as per the National Weather Service.
