Oklahoma City Utilities Line Maintenance crews have been working relentlessly, including through the previous night, to locate and excavate the compromised pipeline, as reported by OKC.gov.
The extensive damage from the break inevitably led to the closure of all four lanes just west of MacArthur Boulevard on NW 122nd Street, posing a considerable inconvenience for the daily flow of traffic. Despite these challenges, the utilities officials have projected to swiftly complete the water main repairs by late this evening. To manage to effectively provide continued water service to locals, the crews have tactically re-routed the water distribution within the affected vicinity.
In instances of service disruption, customers are being directed to report their lack of water service by calling the Utilities Emergency Dispatch team at (405) 297-2833. Immediate attention is promised, as the teams are prepared to investigate the situation once an address is provided.
Once the immediate hurdle of the water main repair is surmounted, the OKC Public Works Department is slated to take over the work baton.
