One man was killed and another was wounded last night in what appears to be a related pair of shootings in North Houston, local authorities say. The first incident occurred in a neighborhood on Enclave Fountains Lane, off W. Tidwell Road, where a man with gunshot wounds was found deceased. "They came out here and found one male with gunshot wounds, and he was deceased here at the scene," Lt. J.P. Horelica said, as reported by ABC13. Meanwhile, a second gunshot victim was discovered in a silver Hyundai at a gas station less than two miles away, on the corner of W. Tidwell Road and Antoine Drive. This second man was taken to the hospital and reported to be stable.

The Houston Police are working to piece together the events of the night after responding around 9:30 p.m. According to both ABC13 and Click2Houston, investigators believe there was a shootout, although they have yet to confirm if the two men who were shot were actually shooting at each other or if others were involved.

Police have not yet established a motive for the shootings, and no arrests have been made at this stage. Based on preliminary evidence, Lt. Horelica believes there may have been more than one shooter at the first crime scene. He emphasized that their current focus is to understand the connection between the two violent incidents. Anyone with information is urged to contact the HPD Homicide Division or Crime Stoppers.
