The incident, which occurred on Wednesday at approximately 11:30 a.m. near Charlotte Highway, involved a 2003 Buick Sedan, a 2005 Toyota SUV, and a 1980 Datsun sedan. In an attempt to pull into a private drive, the Datsun was hit by the oncoming Buick, causing it to in turn to collide with the Toyota SUV, according to information provided by the South Carolina Highway Patrol and cited by QC News.

The driver of the Buick Sedan and both occupants of the Toyota SUV emerged from the crash without injuries, as did the driver of the Datsun. However, the passenger of the Datsun was transported to a local hospital where they later died from their injuries, reported WYFF 4. Despite the ongoing investigation by the South Carolina Highway Patrol, the identity of the deceased passenger has not yet been released by the coroner's office at this time.

Local authorities continue to investigate the precise circumstances that led up to this fatal incident.
