An unfortunate incident occurred yesterday evening near Willi's Ski and Snowboard Shop in Ross Township. Two vehicles collided, and at least one person was hospitalized. WPXI reported that emergency crews were called to the scene at the Perry Highway and Sewickley-Oakmont Road intersection at approximately 5:02 p.m.

According to dispatchers from Allegheny County, one individual had to be rescued from one of the vehicles and was subsequently transported to a local hospital. In the wake of the collision, the back driver's side door of an SUV was removed entirely. Additionally, medics evaluated several other people present at the scene. Traffic adjustments were recommended as drivers were asked to use alternative routes while the emergency teams responded to the incident.

A Facebook post from Ross West View EMSA gave further details, noting that multiple first responders attended to the crash aftermath. WTAE's coverage of the EMSA statement highlighted that at least one person was "extricated and taken to a local trauma center" and that other occupants were being evaluated on-site. However, the specific circumstances that led to the collision have not been made clear.
