
Tragedy struck in Osceola County following a domestic dispute that led to the fatal stabbing of Enese Pierre, age 37. According to WFTV, deputies were called to a home following a distress call from a 12-year-old girl, stating her stepfather, Makinson Devalcin, was attacking her mother. Upon arrival at the scene, Devalcin was found with a shallow neck wound, and Pierre died from a fatal stab wound to the neck.
After the harrowing call from a 12-year-old child in the early hours of Sunday, Osceola County Sheriff's deputies discovered a chilling scene within a normally tranquil ChampionsGate community residence. As reported by Around Osceola, the child provided a detailed account of the events, revealing she had been awakened by her mother's cries for help, further recounting Devalcin's menacing words: "No one messes with me." Amid the chaos, a roommate attempted to intervene, only to be rebuffed by Devalcin.
In the wake of the violent affair, the Osceola County Sheriff's Office has issued an arrest warrant for Devalcin for first-degree murder. Devalcin, who deputies found face down and unconscious but showing signs of life, was taken to the hospital. The Sheriff's Office confirmed that lifesaving measures were undertaken upon their arrival and forceful entry into the home.
Additional details unearthed by investigators noted that the knife, covered in blood and found beside the left side of the bed where the victim lay, had been recently bought by Pierre and originated from the home’s kitchen. This element, the premeditated nature of Devalcin's actions, as per the scene and testimonies obtained, led to his charge of first-degree murder. Although the suspect was due in court, his hospitalization on the day charges were formally read postponed the appearance.
