Outgoing Hillsboro Mayor Steve Callaway recently expressed his gratitude to the community for their support during his eight years in office. During his time in office, Callaway led key projects like the HiLight internet service and the Hidden Creek Community Center, while facing challenges such as the pandemic and social unrest. He praised the community’s unity, saying, "to everyone who came together to support our community and each other during the pandemic." Mayor Callaway acknowledged the efforts of city staff, teachers, students, and City Councilors, stating, "The City of Hillsboro is a full-service city.
