In the wake of the operation, 24-year-old Mariah Mata was taken into custody in Lake Jackson. The searches, conducted last Friday, occurred at residences on North Avenue C in Freeport and Loganberry Street in Lake Jackson. Mata is currently facing a multiple charges, which include the manufacture and delivery of controlled substances and the theft of a firearm. As per the FOX26 Houston coverage, further charges may be pending as the investigation progresses.

Items confiscated by the Brazoria County Narcotics Task Force and other law enforcement officials included approximately 600 grams of cocaine, 1,900 grams of alprazolam, 600 grams of THC oil, 200 grams of marijuana, and nearly 475 grams of promethazine. Among the seized items, authorities also found two guns, one of which had been reported stolen to Houston police.

The Brazoria County Sheriff’s Office has not released more details about Mata's arrest. Information about the investigation is also unavailable.
