Yesterday morning, a house fire in Oviedo required a swift response from the Seminole County Fire Department and the Oviedo Fire Department. As WESH reported, fire officials arrived at the scene to find smoke and flames emerging from a residence.
A simultaneous effort was underway to ensure the safety of the home's non-human inhabitants. Several dogs were rescued from the premises, a detail confirmed by the Seminole County Fire Department in a WFTV report. Luckily, no occupants were home during the blaze outbreak, and no injuries were reported. However, the efforts were complicated due to a lack of fire hydrants in this more rural area, necessitating a water shuttle to supply the firefighters with what they needed to combat the flames.
The State Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the cause of the fire, and details about what prompted it have yet to emerge.
