
Tragedy struck at an Oxnard intersection on Monday evening, when a vehicle collided with a bicyclist causing life-threatening injuries. The Oxnard Police Department reported that the accident occurred at approximately 6:24 p.m., at the crossroads of Channel Islands Boulevard and Dallas Drive.
The victim, an unidentified man around 40 years old, was found by emergency responders scattered amidst the fragments of his bicycle and personal belongings. Officers stated that the man was transported to Ventura County Medical Center in critical condition, signaling the severity of his plight. According to the Oxnard Police Department, the bicyclist was traveling—direction unknown—when hit by an eastbound vehicle on Channel Islands Boulevard. It is suspected that he was subsequently struck by another vehicle, also heading eastbound. Both drivers fled the scene without stopping to aid the injured man or to contact authorities.
