A recent pedestrian fatality occurred near the intersection of Galleria Drive and I-11 northbound in Henderson, according to Nevada State Police. The incident took place on Tuesday evening and involved a white 2014 Chevrolet Tahoe traveling westbound on Galleria Drive.
According to the News3LV coverage, the pedestrian entered the roadway outside of a marked crosswalk around 7:39 p.m., stepping in front of the vehicle from the north curb. The driver of the Tahoe came to a stop in the far left lane following the collision and remained at the scene, cooperating with law enforcement officials. Tragically, the pedestrian was taken to a local hospital but later died due to their injuries, at 6:31 p.m. on January 8.
Further information was provided by FOX5 Vegas, stating that the identity of the pedestrian is pending release by the Coroner’s Office. As NSP continues the investigation, this death marks the fourth fatal crash, which has resulted in four fatalities in the area for this year.
