
A tragic incident unfolded in Bithlo, Florida, where a pedestrian lost her life after being struck by a pickup truck this morning. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, as reported by ClickOrlando, the collision happened around 8:30 a.m. at the crossing of Cedarhurst Road and N 6th Street.
The woman was swiftly transported to AdventHealth East Hospital, yet despite medical efforts, she was pronounced dead. As of now, her identity has yet to be disclosed. The driver of the pickup, a 35-year-old man from Orlando, along with his passenger, a 28-year-old man from Sanford, were reported to have remained at the scene post-collision and did not require hospitalization, per the preliminary FHP crash report.
Meanwhile, a separate report by WFTV confirmed that the vehicle involved was a Ford F-150 truck. The local news outlet noted that the FHP was managing a roadblock in the area following the incident, which was still in place as late as 10:30 a.m. as the investigation continued.
