The Petaluma Police Department is looking for a robbery suspect following an incident at a local Valero gas station. Yesterday, in broad daylight, an unidentified male forced an employee at the Valero on 5153 Old Redwood Highway to empty cash into his backpack, according to the Petaluma Police Department.
At approximately 3:41 PM, a 911 call logged by Petaluma PD Dispatch Center revealed the suspect, described as a 6’01” tall adult male in all black attire and a green face covering, had locked the gas station doors before presenting the note. Out of fear, the employee obeyed the instructions contained therein as he handed the suspect the money, who then exited the establishment on foot. It remains unclear, although no weapon was brandished nor threatened during the encounter.
The Petaluma PD units scoured the area but found no individual fitting the provided description.
