Philadelphia authorities are appealing to the public for assistance in identifying two suspects connected to an attempted robbery incident in the city's 9th District. Central Detectives released video footage of the event, which was reported to have occurred on the afternoon of December 20, 2024.
The incident took place at around 2:35 PM on the 1400 block of W. Girard Ave, where the victim was riding her electric scooter. The footage, shared by the Philadelphia police, shows two unknown individuals attempting to forcefully take the scooter from the victim. One suspect can be seen trying to grab the scooter while the other appears to desperately pry the victim's hands off the handlebars. Despite the struggle, the victim managed to retain possession, although she fell down the front steps during the altercation. The suspects were last observed fleeing north onto 15th Street, without the scooter in their possession.
