Emergency responders in Pittsburgh's Bloomfield neighborhood were dispatched Thursday night to confront a two-alarm blaze tearing through an apartment building on the 400 block of S. Graham Street. As firefighters worked to control the flames, Pittsburgh Public Safety confirmed that "three people from two apartments were able to get out safely," and the ground-floor apartment was vacant at the onset of the fire, according to WTAE.
Thanks to the quick actions of emergency crews, everyone was safely evacuated, and no injuries were reported despite the intense fire. Officials are still investigating the cause, and fire investigators are carefully examining the scene to determine what started it, as noted by WPXI.
Several fire trucks and a team of firefighters responded. The Public Safety Department managed the scene to prevent the fire from spreading. Crews also ensured the damaged home's structure was safe, a common concern in such fires.
