A tragic domestic shooting earlier this month in Larimer has resulted in the death of a 14-year-old boy. The victim, identified by the Allegheny County Medical Examiner as Carmello Mosley, succumbed to his injuries at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital last Tuesday, as reported by WPXI.
According to authorities, the fatal incident occurred on January 4 on the 6200 block of East Liberty Blvd. Jordan Mosley, the teen's older brother, aged 16, reportedly fired the shot that led to this lamentable outcome, calling 911 and admitting, "I accidentally shot my brother," unintentionally while being taken into custody, the criminal complaint stated. After officers arrived on the scene and assessed the situation, the 14-year-old was rushed to the hospital in grave condition, as WPXI detailed.
Jordan Mosley is now facing multiple criminal charges. He has been charged with aggravated assault, recklessly endangering another person, and possession of a firearm by a minor, as detailed by TribLIVE. The consequences of the incident are mounting for the elder Mosley brother, who remains at the Allegheny County Jail and has been denied bail.
As the case unfolds, a preliminary hearing is awaited with pertinence scheduled for tomorrow at Pittsburgh Municipal Court.
