Raleigh Parks Health & Wellness Programs are dedicating the month of February to heart health. Throughout the month, free activities will be offered at Glen Eden Park and other locations, aimed at promoting physical activity, education, and healthy eating.
According to the City of Raleigh, the program includes fitness classes for all levels, requiring little to no equipment. Participants can enjoy a low-impact cardio class set to Taylor Swift’s 'Red' album, led by Amanda, or join a bootcamp with Alexis, designed to challenge participants at all levels. These classes aim to improve strength, cardiovascular fitness, and muscular endurance.
For those seeking a more intense workout, WARRIOR Strength™ offers a combination of High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) and weight training to push participants to their limits, enhancing fitness and promoting heart health.
In addition to fitness classes, Raleigh Parks is offering grocery store tours to help residents make heart-healthy shopping choices and a garden workshop that encourages healthy habits.
