As the calendar flipped to welcome a new year, so did the city’s departments pivot to embrace a collaborative spirit aimed at amplifying resident empowerment and enhancing the living tapestry of Raleigh's varied neighborhoods.
Announced on the last day of 2024, the merger is a calculated play designed to pool resources and expertise. By joining forces, the twin teams are envisioning a merger as an axis on which to spin out programs and initiatives that promise to embolden Raleigh’s community fabric.
"Bringing these groups together unlocks a new level of engagement for the City of Raleigh. Engagement requires relationships, and building relationships takes time," Tiesha Mosely, Director of Community Engagement, told the official City of Raleigh news outlet. With her at the helm of this enlivened mission, the aim is to weave a more interactive tapestry between city residents, the programs designed to serve them, and the collective feedback from the community.
