Thieves targeting the bones of Rancho Cordova's rising neighborhoods met their match when the long arm of the law caught up with them in the act. The Rancho Cordova Police Department (RCPD), taking a vigilant stand in the guard against construction thefts, cracked down on a late-night heist. According to Facebook post by the Rancho Cordova Police Deapartment, their units observed a suspect vehicle entering a construction zone well after the sun had bid farewell to the day.
Rancho Cordova Police Police Department spotted a truck loaded with stolen plywood from construction sites. The vehicle was stopped, and an investigation confirmed the plywood was taken illegally. The suspects were arrested, and the stolen materials were returned.
The stolen materials were returned to the builders, marking a small win in the fight against construction theft. Thanks to the Rancho Cordova Police Department's efforts to monitor these areas, the suspects were caught and taken to the Sacramento County Main Jail, where they face multiple felony charges.
