The Bronx community is grappling with the shocking death of Peter Forrest, a 64-year-old musician famously known as P. Fluid from the band 24-7 Spyz, who was found deceased in an ambulette he drove for Marquis Ambulette. According to a video obtained by Daily News, a figure was seen leaving the parked vehicle hours before Forrest was discovered.

Forrest failed to make several scheduled pickups on Monday morning, which raised concern among his colleagues, one of whom, located his vehicle via GPS and found Forrest lying face down in a pool of blood, as reported by News12 and confirmed by Gothamist. The NYPD has since been actively investigating the suspicious circumstances surrounding the incident. Despite efforts from first responders who arrived following a 911 call, Forrest was pronounced dead at the site.

Forrest was renowned for his contribution to Black rock music with his band, which blended metal, hardcore, and funk genres. "Music was his life and advancing Black rock was his life," Chiedza Makonnen, Forrest’s longtime ex-girlfriend previously known as Charmelle Dukes, told the Daily News. "He is the last person you would think would pass like that. He just wasn’t involved in stuff."

Marquis Ambulette expressed their cooperation with the police investigation, and a representative from the company stated, "It’s a terrible tragedy for the family and [our] hearts are going out to his family," according to a colleague who handled the grim discovery and wished to remain unnamed. As of now, no arrests have been made in connection to Forrest's death, but the Office of Chief Medical Examiner determined that Forrest was beaten to death, suffering blunt impact injuries of head, and torso, as detailed by Daily News.

The loss of Peter Forrest has left many who knew him and admired his music in a state of shock and mourning. The NYPD continues to investigate the case, while the public awaits further information on this disturbing event, with his identity initially withheld, until next of kin could be notified, as Gothamist reported.
