Travelers heading to the Rio Cosumnes Correctional Center (RCCC) in the coming days should be aware that the Sacramento County Sheriff's Office has issued a travel advisory due to construction affecting usual routes. The advisory, posted on their official Facebook page, includes detour instructions for visitors and others traveling to the facility.
The Sheriff's Office post specifies an alternate pathway, urging travelers to take Twin Cities Road and head north on Bruceville Road for RCCC access. The detour is necessary due to roadwork on Lambert Road, which is currently closed to northbound traffic.
According to a social media post from the Sacramento County Sheriff's Office, "For those visiting or doing business at Rio Cosumnes Correctional Center (RCCC), please use Twin Cities Road and travel northbound on Bruceville Road to access the facility."
