Two individuals were found dead under suspicious circumstances inside a Sacramento County home yesterday. The incident, which occurred in the Rosemont area, on Sutterwoods Way near Bradshaw Road, involved both victims sustaining gunshot wounds. A call for a welfare check around 11:30 a.m. led emergency responders to the scene where the grisly discovery was made, as reported by CBS Sacramento.
Upon arrival of the Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District, the situation was escalated to involve law enforcement after the bodies were found. The Sacramento County Sheriff's Office has not revealed the identity of the deceased, nor the nature of their relationship, if any. In response to the incident, an investigation by both Crime Scene Investigators and homicide detectives ensued, drawing increased attention to the quiet suburban neighborhood, noted by local resident Andrew Gregory. "This is this is out of the norm. It really is," Gregory told KCRA 3, expressing his shock at the turn of events. Gregory, who has lived there for nearly three decades, rushed home after his son informed him about a crime scene unfolding by their home.
No suspect information has been put forward by the authorities at this time. Meanwhile, officials conducted a thorough search of a gray truck parked outside the home, as part of their ongoing investigation. Describing the level of disbelief amongst the locals, Gregory added, "The individual that I knew— very nice person, very nice person, very down to earth," referring to one of the deceased who he occasionally conversed with over the years, according to KCRA 3.
The Sacramento County Sheriff's Office urges anyone with information to step forward, in the hopes of piecing together the events that led to this tragic outcome.
