Saturday will be filled with excitement at Rowan Public Library Headquarters in Salisbury, as they host "Go on an Adventure in 2025!" from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The event will feature travel-themed activities for all ages at 201 West Fisher Street, according to the Rowan County announcement.
During the event, representatives from the Rowan County Register of Deeds will be available in the Hurley Room to assist with passport applications and renewals, with no appointment necessary. However, appointments can be scheduled by calling 704-216-8111.
At 11 a.m., local traveler Dr. Wyndham Whynot will share stories and travel advice in Stanback Auditorium. Additional activities include a children's travel-themed storytime at 1 p.m., a virtual author talk with Rick Steves, a photo station with a green screen, and a Seven Wonders of the World scavenger hunt. A display of Rowan County ship manifests will offer insight into local history.
