The San Antonio Police Department (SAPD), in tandem with Crime Stoppers, is reigniting efforts to solve a cold case from eight years prior, in which 44-year-old Kevin Duplechain was found murdered in what was described as a bloody scene on the Southeast Side of the city, as KSAT reports.
On the morning of November 27, 2017, in the 100 block of Sample Street, police were called to a residence where Duplechain had been staying for a number of weeks and upon arrival, stumbled upon a grim discovery of his lifeless body; despite the ongoing investigation, a clear motive for the murder eludes the authorities, a detail that also KENS 5 echoed in their coverage of the renewed plea for tips.
In an effort to finally achieve justice for Duplechain, Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information that could lead to the arrest of the individual behind this crime, with anonymity and confidentiality being a cornerstone of their tip-handling process. Public participation is being urged by the SAPD and Crime Stoppers, as they plead for anyone with potentially invaluable knowledge to step forward and contact Crime Stoppers at (210) 224-STOP.
