
A tragic hit-and-run incident claimed the life of a pedestrian on a bustling section of US-101 in Santa Rosa. Last Saturday, officers were called to the southbound lanes near Steele Lane following reports of an individual lying on the roadway, as reported by the California Highway Patrol - Santa Rosa.
The CHP, alongside fire department officials, responded to the emergency and found a male pedestrian who had already succumbed to his injuries. While the officers combed through the scene, the vehicle involved had left no trace of its presence. Two lanes were subsequently closed to allow for a meticulous investigation.
