Yesterday, Santa Rosa Police Department officers responded to a distressing scenario at a local gas station, where a juvenile was reported to have brandished a firearm in a threatening manner. Santa Rosa Police confirmed the incident occurred around 5:47 pm at the Shell Fuel station on Corby Avenue, as detailed in a Santa Rosa Police Department's social media post.
The victim told police that an individual had approached them with a weapon, manipulating it and pointing it directly at them, and this was supported by video evidence collected at the scene. Santa Rosa Police Department quickly identified a juvenile suspect in connection with the alleged firearm threat. The officers, with support from the Gang Crimes Team, located the suspect, and a Glock model 29 with an extended magazine was found in the juvenile's possession.
Arrested without incident, the minor, whose identity is protected due to age, faces multiple felony charges, including assault with a deadly weapon and possession of a concealed firearm. The discovery of the loaded 9mm handgun with a clear plastic extended magazine corroborated the victim's account, culminating in the suspect's booking under serious felony charges.
