
The University District Business Improvement Area in Seattle is seeking a new program manager to lead its growth and initiatives. Proposals are due by January 31. The chosen organization must have at least five years of experience and will manage Business Improvement Area operations, budgets, and programs for the U District, according to the Office of Economic Development.
Under Ordinance 126093 and Council Bill 119779, a competitive process occurs every five years to support the U District’s growth through public safety, community events, marketing, and economic development. Managed by the Office of Economic Development, the program manager will focus on strengthening local businesses and fostering community engagement. The ideal candidate should have at least five years of experience in program and budget management, a proven ability to build partnerships, and expertise in strategic planning, equity advancement, and addressing challenges faced by underserved communities.
"Proposals are due by 5:00 p.m. PST on Friday, January 31, 2025." The role focuses on strengthening ties between businesses and residents. Preference will be given to organizations with experience in similar community programs.
